Continuing Care Assistant Sask Polytechnic Certificate

Learn how to support clients who depend on you. Topics covered include gerontology, dementia management, administering personal care, medication monitoring, and more. You’ll also receive Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED training or equivalent, WHMIS training and participate in a clinical work experience.

When you graduate, you’ll be prepared to pursue one of the hundreds of employment opportunities available for CCA’s in long-term care, private-care, homecare, and other healthcare settings.

This program is approximately 32 weeks long.

Admission Requirements

You’ll need Grade 12 and/or successful completion of 15 post-secondary credits from a recognized institution and need to meet the English Language Requirement..

You’ll also be required to provide evidence of a Criminal Record Check, a Vulnerable Sector Search and immunization records to meet program requirements
