Overview

This program includes 14 hours of classroom instruction, 18 hours on the road bus training and the following SGI examinations: Basic Knowledge Exam, Sign Exam, Vision Test, School Bus Knowledge Exam, Trip Inspection, and School Bus Road Test.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Class 5 driver’s license (valid SK ID must be provided) and approved SGI Commercial Medical. The SGI Commercial Medical can be completed by visiting your family doctor or local clinic and requesting this specific medical. The clinic will then forward medical report on to SGI to approve. Approval process takes SGI 24-48 hours to complete once report is received.

Written and road test will be booked on student’s behalf once their SGI Commercial Medical is approved and their SGI customer # is received. Written exams will be booked in Regina and the road test in Humboldt.
