Overview

Learn the basics of using a computer or desktop. If you’re a beginner who is intimidated by using a computer or someone who wants a little more practice and knowledge before using one, this course is for you!

Here are the topics included:

  • Overview of computer parts and their functions
  • Basic operation: turning on/off, navigating the desktop
  • Understanding operating systems and file management
  • Creating, editing, and formatting documents
  • Using basic tools like fonts, paragraphs, and alignment
  • Saving and printing documents

Week 2: Creating and Using Email / Managing Files

  • Setting up an email account
  • Sending, receiving, and managing emails
  • Attaching files and organizing email folders
  • Understanding file types and storage options
  • Creating and organizing folders
  • Saving, renaming, and locating files

By the end of this program, participants will:

  • Understand the fundamental components and functions of the computer
  • Develop basic proficiency in Microsoft
  • Be able to create, send, and manage emails
  • Organize and manage files effectively
