Carlton Trail College Welcomes New Board Member

Carlton Trail College is pleased to announce the appointment of a new member to its Board of Directors, Melissa Dieno, who was recently appointed by the Government of Saskatchewan’s Executive Council. With a strong background in municipal leadership and a dedication to community development, Melissa brings valuable expertise to the institution.

As the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Town of Wakaw and the RM of Fish Creek #402, Melissa has extensive experience managing municipal operations and has demonstrated leadership in overseeing infrastructure, human resources, and community-focused initiatives. Her background in governance, along with qualifications such as the Local Government Authority Certificate from the University of Regina, highlights a deep commitment to public service.

“We are excited to welcome Melissa Dieno to our Board,” said Sandy Flory, Board Chairperson. “Her experience in leadership, governance, and understanding of community needs will be an asset as we continue to enhance the educational and training opportunities throughout our region.”

Melissa expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, citing her passion for adult education and belief in the importance of accessible learning to strengthen communities. Her appointment is for a three-year term.
