Essential Skills for the Workplace – Intro to Health Careers

Do you want to develop the skills needed to go onto further education or employment in the healthcare field?

This program helps you develop critical thinking, communication, computer literacy, and other skills so that you can successfully transition to additional education or a career in the health care industry.

You’ll earn safety tickets such as WHMIS, FoodSafe, First Aid/CPR C/AED, Mental Health First Aid, Service Best and Transferring, Lifting, Repositioning (TLR) and take introductory courses that can carry over to further education or a career in the healthcare field. Plus, you’ll also get on-the-job training through a work experience component.
