Essential Skills for the Workplace – Scaffolding and Exterior Painting

This 7-week training program is designed to develop foundational skills in scaffolding assembly, exterior painting, workplace safety, and essential workplace skills. The program combines theory-based instruction with practical, onsite experience to prepare participants for entry-level roles in the construction and trades industry.

You'll
  • Learn the fundamentals of scaffold systems, erection, and dismantling
  • Receive essential safety training and certifications
  • Develop skills in tool use, measurement, and working at heights
  • Understand scaffold inspection, hazard assessment, and load requirements
  • Prepare for employment in construction, maintenance, or industrial projects
  • Understand surface inspection and preparation (sanding, scraping, cleaning)
  • Develop skills in caulking, priming, and sealing
  • Understand brush, roller, and spray painting techniques
By the end of this program, you'll
  • Be prepared for entry-level employment in scaffolding and construction
  • Have essential safety certifications required by employers
  • Demonstrate confidence and competence in scaffold setup and dismantling
  • Understand scaffold inspection, hazard assessment, and load requirements
  • Understand construction site expectations and job-site conduct
