Admission Requirements
Intake and assessment are required prior to being accepted into the program.
Learn about the behaviours, handling and care of cattle. Other topics include feeding, watering, calving, and weaning. You’ll also learn about basic veterinary and herd health protocols, biosecurity and environmental stewardship including pasture rotation. Plus, you learn about basic farm equipment safely and recordkeeping for a cattle operation. Safety tickets include First Aid , CPR & AED; SCOT Safety & WHMIS 2015, ATV Safety, and basic life skills.
This program is open to members of George Gordon First Nation. A training incentive may be available.
