2024 BHP Jansen Scholarship Program Now Accepting Applications

May 02, 2024

BHP and Carlton Trail College are pleased to announce that starting May 2, 2024, students from eligible communities and First Nations who are entering post-secondary education this Fall can apply for BHP’s Jansen Scholarship Program. Carlton Trail College administers the program on BHP’s behalf.

The Scholarship Program was created to support students starting their journey through post-secondary education. Since 2012, BHP has awarded over $729,000 in scholarships, including $82,000 that was awarded in 2023.  This year’s program has been expanded to include an additional 17 schools and communities and an additional $42,500 in scholarship funding.

“It is excellent to again open the expanded BHP Scholarship Program to a new year of students with over $120,000 in funding available,” said Karina Gistelinck, Potash Asset President, BHP. “As I am out in the community, I often meet past recipients and it is awesome to hear their stories of how the scholarship helped them meet their academic and career goals.”

“As an educational partner, we are pleased to continue to support access to further education and training for regional students by administering BHP’s scholarship program,” said Amy Yeager, Carlton Trail College President and CEO.
