Carlton Trail College was pleased to welcome the Honourable Scott Moe, Premier of Saskatchewan and the Honourable Donna Harpauer, Minister of Finance and MLA for Humboldt-Watrous to its facilities on Friday, August 16 for an in-depth tour.
The Premier and Minister visited Humboldt’s administrative, classroom and trades training facilities, while also learning about the College’s programs, services and growth opportunities within a rapidly growing area of the province.
In addition to the tour, the visiting dignitaries met with College staff and representatives who were happy to share information about the College’s more than 50 years of delivering responsive, industry-aligned education and training to the region. The visit also focused on the increase of skilled trades programming offered by Carlton Trail College along with future expansion plans to its trades training facility in Humboldt.
“Visits like this are so important to share how Carlton Trail College is contributing to Saskatchewan’s skilled workforce,” said Sandy Flory, Carlton Trail College Board of Directors Chairperson. “Small can be powerful, and so we were more than happy to show our elected decision-makers how our College is leading the way in providing education and training to our regional communities.”
