Transfer Information

If you’ve taken courses at another post-secondary institution, you may be able to get credit for certified training.

Transfer credit is when one institution recognizes education or training completed at another. If the courses are a good match, you may be able to use the credits or training you’ve already earned to help fulfill requirements towards your credential.

For example, if you’ve taken an accounting or anatomy course, you may get transfer credit in a related program where it is part of the curriculum.

The best time to request transfer credit is immediately after being admitted to a program, but before the program or course you want credit for starts.

Students are responsible for ensuring that they meet the admission requirements of a program offered at Carlton Trail College.

If you are transferring from Carlton Trail College to another post-secondary institution, it is your responsibility to be aware of their transfer credit policies. Please note transfer credit may affect your student status or Grade Point Average (GPA).
