Your chances of success in Saskatchewan will improve if you can understand and speak English. If you are new to Canada and want to improve your English, Carlton Trail College can help.
Carlton Trail College offers FREE, part-time English classes that will help you improve your reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. These English Language classes are offered in various formats such as in-person, online and blended (a combination of in-person learning and online learning) in a variety of locations.
We offer
LINC classes focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Classes are delivered on a part-time basis for 6 hours per week. Upon class completion, LINC certificates will be issued to eligible students. LINC certificates are an acceptable proof of English language proficiency for Canadian Citizenship applications.
Conversation circle classes focus on listening and speaking skills. Lesson plans focus on English for everyday activities. Classes are 3 hours per week.
Tutor classes provide direct language support to individuals or groups of up to 3. Lesson plans are determined based on participant need.
Employment English programs include English for Employment and At Work English. Classes aim to improve language skills needed to function within Saskatchewan’s labour market. Programs focus on reducing barriers for immigrants when finding or maintaining meaningful employment.
We can customize English Language Training for your business or organization and deliver onsite or at one of our facilities.
Referral to Online English and LINC Home Study is also available.
WHAT IS THE COST?
All English language classes are FREE to eligible participants. Classes are funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
English Language classes are available people aged 18+ who are
Permanent residents,
Temporary workers, and
Canadian citizens.
NOTE: Valid immigration documentation is required.
WHEN CAN YOU APPLY?
We accept registration for English language classes on an ongoing basis.
