Carpentry Sask Polytechnic Applied Certificate

The Carpentry Applied Certificate program will teach you the basics of carpentry and help you develop your skills for a career in residential, commercial, construction or other related industries. You will cover topics such as blueprints and quantity surveys, concrete, foundations, framing, scaffolding and more. Practice in class, then develop your skills further during the work experience component at the end of the program!

When you graduate, you’ll be prepared for an entry-level job as an apprentice in the trade. Trade time and academic credit may be available to graduates who find employment in the trade and register as an apprentice.

This program is approximately 19 weeks long.

Admission Requirements

You'll need Grade 11 with FDN MATH 20, W&A MATH 20 or PRE CALC 20 (Modified and General Math credits will not be accepted). You'll also need to meet the English Language Requirement.

If you do not have the above academic requirement please meet with a College Advisor to discuss special admission options, including ACCUPLACER.
