Do you enjoy working with children and helping them learn? Consider becoming an Early Childhood Educator!

Learn how to support children as they learn through play and how to create developmentally appropriate curriculum and quality learning environments. You’ll develop strong communication, observation and documentation skills and learn about child development and guidance, the values and practice of early childhood education and programming for creative arts, language, cognitive, social and emotional development.

When you graduate, you’ll be prepared to pursue employment opportunities in a childcare centre, preschool, family day home or elementary school setting.

The Early Childhood Education Diploma Program is 64 weeks long if taken full-time. 

You’ll need Grade 12 with English Language Arts A30 and B30. Prerequisites may be required for some courses.

You’ll be required to provide evidence of a Criminal Record Check prior to entering practicum placements.
