Carlton Trail College is proud to be part of a meaningful community partnership that brought four interactive “Learning to Dine on a Dime” cooking classes to Humboldt, hosted at the Humboldt Public Elementary School. Sponsored by Humboldt Co-op, the program helped individuals and families learn how to prepare healthy, affordable meals while connecting with others in a friendly, supportive environment.
Led by Red Seal Chef Cal Nikiforoff – whose culinary career includes serving the British Royal Family and instructing at Saskatchewan Polytechnic – and cake decorator Charlianne Schultz, the classes were supported by Partners Family Services, Humboldt Regional Newcomer Centre, Humboldt and District Community Services, Humboldt Early Years Resource Centre, and Safe Communities Humboldt and Area.
Special thanks to Horizon School Division for providing the space, and to the many volunteers and local businesses who contributed to the program’s success. Carlton Trail College is proud to support initiatives that nourish both practical skills and community spirit.
